Park Projects

October-2015 - Added 5 Units of Cedar Hog Fuel to the Playground. This was really needed! The playground had become a little unsafe with limited to no hog fuel (bark) in the playground structure area. Thank You to numerous neighborhood donations to make this happen.
Here is a BEFORE and AFTER Photos of the Playground Area.

Maintaining the park overall condition is a permenant on-going project. Neighborhood volunteers have been helping do that for years before the recent transfer of park ownership to Santana Village Park Association. Beyond that, our current park improvement wish list includes the following:

  • resurface and restripe the sport court, perhaps expand it, and perhaps create one or more pickle ball courts
  • generally improve the 60-foot baseball/softball practice field - Completed
  • install a trenched/barked walkin/jogging path around the perimeter of the park - Completed
  • construct one or two picnic shelter, eventually with some level of food service equipment
  • construct a restroom
  • provide water (for keeping some grass green) and electricity (for picnic shelter use and otherwise)

Do you have ideas for future projects? We wish to hear from you.
